RTS Jackson is pleased to announce the schedule for the Summer Institute for Biblical Languages in 2013. Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek will be offered in an intensive, immersion environment from June 24 to August 16, 2013. Affordable seminary housing is available, and last year a variety of visiting students came from all over the country to join our residential students for the 8-week language boot camp. Dr. Miles Van Pelt, author of Zondervan’s Basics of Biblical Aramaic and co-author of Zondervan’s Basics of Biblical Hebrew as well as Academic Dean and Professor of Old Testament and Biblical Languages, will teach 6 semester hours of Hebrew and 3 semester hours of Aramaic. Dr. Ben Gladd, Assistant Professor of New Testament, will teach 6 hours of Greek. In addition to teaching Dr. Van Pelt and Dr. Gladd regularly eat lunch with the students at Patterson’s Porch and participate in the weekly (or sometimes twice weekly) game of Ultimate Frisbee.
