D. A. Carson to Teach January Elective

RTS Orlando is pleased to announce that Dr. D. A. Carson will teach Introduction to Biblical Theology during the winter term from January 2-5, 2018. The course will meet daily from 9:00am – 5:00pm.

The course will emphasize the Bible's story-line, examining how the books and corpora of the Bible contribute to the unfolding history of redemption. It will also examine prominent biblical themes, including temple, sacrifice, priest, rest, kingship, exile, idolatry, promise, messiah, and wisdom. Finally, students will consider the relationship of biblical theology with other disciplines, especially exegesis and systematic theology.

The two-credit course may be taken for credit toward master’s-level programs or audited as space permits. Registration opens November 1.

Dr. Carson serves as Research Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill. He is the author of numerous books, including Exegetical Fallacies, The Gospel According to John, and Jesus the Son of God, co-editor (with G. K. Beale) of the Commentary on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament, and editor of several series, including IVP’s New Studies in Biblical Theology. He is also president of The Gospel Coalition.
