The Women's Fellowship of RTS - Charlotte
The goal of Women of RTS is to provide the women students and wives of students a variety of growth opportunities, fellowship activities and community ministry opportunities. We hope to be a resource to our women as they prepare for a life of ministry. We encourage all women to take classes, either for credit or audit, during their time at RTS. This is one of the most beneficial resources we have to offer – our professors and their teaching and preaching of God’s Word.
At the beginning of their seminary experience we provide a “theological survival guide.” This booklet was created with the “student wives” in our minds and hearts. We want them to know and feel that they are a vital part of the tremendous work their husband is about to undertake. So, we desire to include them in the journey as much as possible. The booklet was created by former student women in order to equip spouses with an easy reference on some of the basic biblical concepts that the students learn early on during their time at RTS. It is our prayer that the survival booklet will give them the confidence needed to dialogue right along with their seminary spouse.
We also provide a cheap guide to Charlotte, known as “Charlotte on a Shoestring.” This is a great resource to cheap shopping, reasonable restaurants and fun activities in the Charlotte area.
It is our sincere hope that the wives of students allow the Women of RTS to be a resource and a place of refuge as they continue in their walk with the Lord. We recognize that “theology truly is the science of living blessedly.” And with that great quote in mind, it is our prayer that this time of seminary be nurturing and therapeutic to their souls, as they seek to discover the majesty of God and the humanness of themselves.
