COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORM

Please complete the application form, answering essay questions on separate pages (typed). These essay questions will not only provide the Admissions Committee with important information about you as a prospective student, but will also demonstrate your writing ability. Enclose the appropriate application fee and a recent photograph.

Charlotte Application Form

NEW ONLINE APPLICATION!
As an alternative to the printed application, you can apply online.  You will request an RTS ID that will permit you to manage your application process online (see the link to the online application to request your RTS ID).  With your RTS ID, you can stop at any point during the process and save what you’ve entered so that you can come back to the application later.  You will be able to upload your picture, pay the application fee, fill out the essays and addendums, and even send your references electronically.

To access the online application, click here.

REFERENCES

Reformed Theological Seminary requires references from a former professor, your pastor, and a friend. Please give the appropriate reference form and a return envelope to those from whom you are requesting references.  References should be mailed directly to the Admissions office by the persons completing the forms.

ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS

Please request an official transcript from each college or university (even if posted on subsequent transcripts). You should specifically request that the transcripts be sent directly to the Admissions office. Remember you must make this request.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

In addition, if you are an applicant for whom English is a second language you must meet additional TOEFL requirements. To be connected to the TOEFL website click here.  (For reporting purposes our school code is 1646). A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, 213 on the computer-based TOEFL, or 79-80 on the Internet TOEFL is required for admittance into the M.A. or M.Div. programs. Applicants who score between 550 and 600 on the paper-based TOEFL, or between 213 and 250 on the computer-based TOEFL, may be required to take additional work in ESL or be limited in the number of hours they may take during any one term.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The Admissions Committee will examine the credentials submitted to determine each applicant's suitability for admission.  Admission may be granted on the basis of these credentials alone, or the committee may also require additional requirements.

For more information on these or other admissions requirements, please refer to the Application Procedure Guide or contact the Charlotte Admissions Director.
