The Orlando campus of Reformed Theological Seminary offers an accredited Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) that combines a challenging program of study, an on-site clinical experience, and a rich learning community to prepare students for the sacred work of soul care through counseling.

RTS has partnered with Northland Church since 1994 to provide the Oviedo Counseling Clinic (OCC), where graduate student interns earning their Masters of Arts in Counseling from RTS can serve the Central Florida community with Christ-centered counseling at an affordable rate. The OCC is an integral part in any counseling student's study at RTS.

OUR PERSPECTIVE

Humans were made for relationship in the image of the Triune God. Too often, however, people trade communion with God and one another for cheap substitutes. These sinful choices often lead to life struggles that lead people to seek help from counselors. Counselors have the unique opportunity to invite relational restoration by and through the reconciliating work of Christ and by His Spirit. God longs for restored communion with and among His people, and counselors play a vital role in this restorative ministry.

OUR PURPOSE

To train and develop self-reflective and competent professionals for the ministry of soul care as counselors, pastors, and Christian leaders within an academic community that values the confluence of psychology and theology.

OUR PEOPLE

Please click here to hear how God has used the MAC program in the lives of our students. Kimberly Anderson is the MAC Program Administrative Assistant. Kimberly graduated from the Masters of Arts in Counseling program in May of 2012, and she joined the RTS staff team in May 2013. In addition to her role at RTS, Kimberly is a counselor at Journeys Counseling in Maitland. Kimberly lives in Casselberry with her husband of four years, Dan, and their Cavapoo, Dixie. Kimberly has a passion for cooking, and many new creations can often be found culturing in her kitchen (you should try her homemade yogurt!).
