Women of RTS
Time: 04:30 pm
Whether you're a seminary wife or a female student, we want to build our community of seminary women! Join us for a semester kick-off at the Starbucks on Windy Hill on Tuesday, February 16 at 4:30pm. If you're in Hebrew IIB, just come on over after class! We'll spend some time getting to know each other, and we'll also talk through what y'all would like this to look like through the rest of the semester. If you plan on coming, and/or if you have any questions, please email Becca Hermes so that we know to expect you!
Time: 11:30 am
Coming together, being encouraged by the Word, and joining together in song is one of the things we most look forward to when we begin a new term. So mark your calendars now for our Spring chapel series! Our topic for the semester will be "Forgiveness." We’ll gather on campus on February 23rd, March 15th, and April 12th at 11:30am, with lunch provided by RTS following the service. Please RSVP to Becca Hermes (firstname.lastname@example.org) for each date so we know how much lunch to order.
Our speaker for the semester will be RTS Atlanta alumnus Rev. David Charney (MDiv ’11). David is currently the Admissions Coordinator at RTS Atlanta, and he is also pursuing his Doctor of Ministry at RTS. Before coming to RTS Atlanta, he was the Associate Rector at Christ Church of Atlanta, a parish in the Anglican Church of North America. While he was at Christ Church, he directed the Kairos Discipleship Ministry which was an outreach to youth in the Atlanta area. He was also able to serve the Anglican Diocese of the South as their Canon of Student Ministries during that time. He is married to Reagan and has two children, Selene and Colton.
