Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

You are called. So now what?

The call to preach has been called the highest honor there is. Such a calling demands a time of preparation.

At RTS-Charlotte this preparation extends beyond academic matters. We are committed to the spiritual formation of future pastors, missionaries, church planters, campus ministers, chaplains, teachers, and other Church leaders. We do that through the model that John Calvin used: Christ-honoring, Bible-believing, missions-minded, and grace-dependent pastor-scholar-mentors who are called to teach others.

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
2 Timothy 2:2

Whether you are in a systematic theology class or one on Reformed liturgy, in a New Testament class or in homiletics, our commitment as faculty is to teach that course through the narrow channel of application for real life ministry. In this way, all theology is practical. Since the inerrant and infallible Word of the Living God governs all that we do, all that we teach works towards your spiritual formation.
