Waters Reviews Book on Church Polity

Guy Waters provides a thorough review of Baptist Foundations: Church Government for an Anti-Institutional Age at Reformation21.org. Joining with the Southern Baptist Convention's recent conservative resurgence, editors Mark Dever and Jonathan Leeman have assembled a body of essays addresing a biblical theology of the church and church polity.

Waters, Professor of New Testament at RTS Jackson and ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), commends the book as profitable for Baptist and non-Baptist alike. Additionally, readers will almost certainly find Waters' own review profitable especially where Waters dissents on matters of church membership, sacraments, and governance. Read the full review here
