The Retirement of John Frame
Professor John Frame will teach his final theology class in May 2017, bringing to a conclusion forty-nine years of service to the world of theological education. Dr. Frame joined the faculty of RTS Orlando in 2001, where he has served as the John Dyer Trimble Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics. Educated at Yale University and Westminster Theological Seminary, Frame taught previously for many years at Westminster in Philadelphia and then California. The board and faculty will honor his service and achievement by according him upon retirement the status of Professor Emeritus of Systematic Theology and Apologetics.
RTS Orlando will celebrate the ministry of Dr. Frame and his wife, Mary, in a special chapel service on Wednesday, May 10 at 10:00am. A Community Lunch with the RTS Board of Trustees will be on Thursday, May 11 at noon. Former students, colleagues, and friends are invited to join us on both days. Please consider participating in these two ways:
- Share your well wishes, special memories, and thanks to the Frames in the text box below. We will collect these and present them to the Frames on May 11.
- Contribute to the scholarship fund being established in their honor, The John and Mary Frame Scholarship Fund for International Students. The Make a Contribution tab below will direct you to our online giving page.
For information on these events please contact Leigh Swanson at LSwanson@rts.edu. Everyone is welcome to the 5/10 chapel service, but seating for the 5/11 luncheon will be limited. Please send your RSVP for the lunch to Kim Sutter at KSutter@rts.edu.
