Dr. Sweeting returns to Moody as an alumnus of Moody Bible Institute, where his father, George Sweeting, was president. In addition, he also earned a bachelor’s degree from Lawrence University, a masters degree from Regent College, Oxford, and a doctorate from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Dr. Don Sweeting, president of Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, is one of the plenary speakers at the annual Moody Founders Week conference this week. Dr. Sweeting will be speaking at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, on “Christian Apologists for the 21st Century” with 1 Peter 3:8-18a (especially verse 15) as the biblical reference for his talk. Verse 15 urges Christians to always be prepared to give a defense for “the hope that is in you”. The theme for the week is “The Hope Within Us”. Learn more about the conference here.

Dr. Sweeting will also take part in two book signings on Tuesday because of the release last week of his new book, How to Finish the Christian Life: Following Jesus in the Second Half, that he authored with his father.
