Admissions Guide for International Students

We are glad you are considering becoming a student here at RTS Jackson. Because the process of becoming an international student in the U.S. is long and sometimes challenging, we have organized this guide to help you through. As you seek God’s direction in the decisions ahead, our admissions counselor for international prospective students is available to help you along the way.

This is a five-stage process. Each stage is progressive, which means that you can only advance to the next stage once you have completed all the requirements of the preceding stages. Of course, you can and should begin preparing for each stage as early as possible, but you cannot officially begin each stage until the previous one is completed.

For official information about legal requirements, please visit: http://educationusa.state.gov (choose “For International Students” and then “Graduate”).

The five main stages of the RTS application process for international students is as follows:

Stage 1 - Applying to RTS

Stage 2 - Getting your I-20

Stage 3 - Applying for a Visa

Stage 4 - Coming to the U.S.

Stage 5 - Settling In Information
