Bio

Dr. Justin Holcomb has taught at RTS since 2000 and serves as Adjunct Professor of Theology at RTS-Orlando where he teaches elective courses. Dr. Holcomb has also taught at the University of Virginia, Emory University and Agnes Scott College. 

Dr. Holcomb oversees leadership development as a pastor at Mars Hill Church in Seattle and serves as executive director of the Resurgence, a ministry of Mars Hill Church that trains Christians and churches around the world. He previously served as a priest at Christ Episcopal Church in Charlottesville, VA.

Much of Dr. Holcomb's teaching and ministry has focused on issues related to sexual abuse and assault and sex trafficking. He and his wife, Lindsey, co-authored Rid of My Disgrace: Hope and Healing for Sexual Assault Victims (Crossway, 2011). Dr. Holcomb also serves on the boards of REST (Real Escape from the Sex Trade) and GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in Christian Environments). 

For more than 10 years, Dr. Holcomb has traveled to southern Sudan to teach chaplains in the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Army as well as Sudanese pastors. He and his wife founded and direct Mosaic, a non-profit organization that initiates sustainable projects for peace and social justice in southern Sudan and Uganda. 

Dr. Holcomb also has numerous theological interests and has authored multiple books on comparative theological studies.
