Ferguson to Teach Church & Sacraments Oct 19-24

RTS Dallas is delighted to announce that Dr. Sinclair Ferguson will be teaching Church and Sacraments October 19-24.

This course will explore Holy Scripture's teaching of the doctrine of the church and the sacraments (the Lord's Supper and Baptism). Special attention will be given to how these doctrines have been articulated, defended and examined from a distinctly Reformed position.

Dr. Sinclair Ferguson is a systematic theologian, preacher and author who is well-known in Reformed and Evangelical circles worldwide for his preaching, teaching, and writing. He has taught at Westminster Theological Seminary, in Philadelphia and Dallas, and at Redeemer Seminary for many years. We are glad to officially have him as a part of the RTS family.

Dr. Ferguson is a native of Scotland and earned his PhD at the University of Aberdeen. He was a minister of two churches in Scotland, on the Island of Unst, the most northerly of the Shetland Isles, and in St George's-Tron (now known as The Tron Church), in the city center of Glasgow, as well as serving as the Senior Pastor of the historic First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, S.C. He is currently the evening preacher in St Peter's Free Church of Scotland, Dundee. He has authored around fifty books and contributed to many others. Among his many books, his most recent include: Devoted to God: Blueprints for Sanctification (Banner of Truth, 2016) and The Whole Christ: Legalism, Antinomianism, and Gospel Assurance (Crossway, 2016)  He and his wife Dorothy have been blessed with three sons and a daughter and eleven grandchildren.  Dr. Ferguson is also a Trustee and Editor with the Banner of Truth Trust in Edinburgh.
