Gibson to Teach Judges-Esther January 22-26

RTS Dallas is delighted to announce that Dr. Jonathan Gibson will be teaching Judges through Esther January 22-26, 2018.

This course provides an overview of the literature, history, and themes of Judges through Esther. It will give particular attention to the relevance of these books for the church and world today.

Dr. Jonathan Gibson is currently assistant professor of Old Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary. He is an ordained teaching elder in the International Presbyterian Church, UK and previously served at Cambridge Presbyterian Church in England. He received his Ph.D. in Hebrew Studies from Cambridge University.

Dr. Gibson is coeditor of From Heaven He Came and Sought Her: Definite Atonement in Historical, Biblical, Theological, and Pastoral Perspective (Crossway) and has published articles in such journals as Themelios and Journal of Biblical Literature. His academic interests include biblical theology, covenant theology, Genesis chapters 1-3, and inner-biblical allusion and exegesis within the Old Testament.

This two-semester-hour class is part of the core curriculum for both the MATS and the MDiv programs. The class will meet Monday through Friday, January 22-26, from 1:00-4:30pm on Monday, 9:00am-4:30pm Tuesday through Thursday, and 9:00am-12:00pm on Friday. The cost to audit a course at RTS is $50 per semester hour, and tuition is $515 per semester hour.
