A third-generation missionary and pastor, Dan was born in Brazil and grew up in Canada and the U.S. After 20 years in Christian Education as a teacher and headmaster, Dan was ordained as a Teaching Elder in the PCA. He served two churches in Georgia and is now the Associate Pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, TN. For the last twelve years, Dan has also taught regularly overseas. He currently serves as West Africa Project Director with Equipping Leaders International. In that role, he has taught numerous Bible conferences and seminary-level classes in West Africa and elsewhere.
While his studies and early publications were in history and focused on the English Civil War period, Dan’s more recent writing has been driven by the evident need for Biblical exposition, interpretation, and application among our overseas brethren. He focuses on leadership development at home and abroad, reads voraciously in many genres from theology to Science Fiction, and enjoys travel, cooking, and hiking. Dan has been teaching part-time at RTS Atlanta since 2002.
Dan and his wife Susan have four children of their own, three other children who have married into the family, and three grandchildren.
