Financial Planning Seminars - Jackson Campus

Phillip Holmes, Associate Advisor and Creative Director at Rivertree Financial Planning, will host three financial worshops . Phillip is a licensed Life, Health & Accident Insurance Agent and coaches those in need of debt and cash flow planning. He will be sharing his advice on personal finance and productivity on September 5, 12, and 19 from 7:00-8:30 pm in Dean Center, Room 2. The seminars are for RTS students and their families.

2017 RTS World Mission Conference - Jackson Campus

We are pleased to announce that Rev. Al Baker will be delivering our 2017 RTS Jackson Mission Conference Preaching Lectures, September 12-13. 

Rev. Al Baker is ordained in the PCA and has been in the ministry for over 30 years. A graduate of the University of Alabama, he received his M.Div. degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS.

His ministry is in Birmingham, AL serving in many areas as an Evangelist with Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship (PEF) and as Director of the Alabama Church Planting Network (ACPN).

Prior to this he was Senior Pastor at Christ Community in Hartford, CT; Senior Pastor of Golden Isles Presbyterian Church for 10 years. Al has been actively involved in foreign missions to Central America, Africa, The British Isles, Asia and the Far East.

He is also the author of Revival Prayer: A Needed Paradigm Shift in Today’s Church and Seeking a Revival Culture: Essays to Fortify an Anemic Church.

Al and his wife, Wini, have been married 40 years and have three grown children, Andrew, Allen and Jeff, and nine precious grandchildren.

Prepare to Lead - Jackson Campus

Prepare to Lead is a one-day event for people who aspire to serve as pastors, counselors, teachers, or in other positions of influence. Attendees will: learn three key areas of focus in a leader's personal formation, become familiar with the resources available through RTS, and identify the next step in their own formation process.

Church Planting Event (Great Commission Society) - Jackson Campus

We are pleased to announce that Rev. Hunter Brewer will be delivering a lecture on Church Planting, September 28. 

Rev. Hunter Brewer is the founding and former senior minister of Madison Heights Church PCA (Madison, MS). He helped start the Mid-South PCA Church Planting Network and serves as the ministry coordinator. The Mid-South PCA Church Planting Network is a partnership of 30 PCA churches in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and west Tennessee. The Network seeks to be a catalyst for church planting and a resource to presbyteries and churches.

John Reed Miller Lectures with Rico Tice, October 17-19, 2017 - Jackson Campus

Rico Tice will deliver our 2017 John Reed Miller Preaching Lectures, October 17-19. Rico was born in Chile, but grew up in Uganda and Zaire. He studied history at Bristol University and trained for ordination at Wycliffe College, Oxford. 
Rico now serves as the Senior Minister (Evangelism) at All Souls, Langham Place in London.

Rico continues to inspire believers to share their faith in Jesus, working to develop new course material through an active teaching and equipping ministry. He has contributed to a number of publications, including courses such as "Christianity Explored" (3rd Edition, 2011), and "Life Explored" (2016). Over 10,000 "Christianity Explored" courses now run globally each year across the denominational spectrum in over 90 countries, and the material has been translated into more than 20 languages.
